School hours
Monday to Thursday | 9:00am to 3:30pm |
Friday | 9:00am to 3:00pm |
Parents and guardians are expected to bring children in before school starts and not earlier than 8:40am.
Please ensure your child is not late for school. Children who are late are asked to report to the school office on arrival.
Any late attendances will be recorded on the end of year reports to parents. Pupils must be collected immediately after the school day has ended and not later than 3:45pm Mon—Thurs and 3:15pm on Friday. There are no arrangements, staff or supervised/safe places to keep children who have not been collected on time.
If your child is unable to attend school for any reason please telephone the school office before 9:30am to let us know. If your child has sickness or diarrhoea we ask that he/she does not return to school for 48 hours as this type of illness can be very infectious.
It is essential that pupils maintain full attendance throughout their programme of study. From 1 September 2013 new DfE regulations have come into force regarding leave of absence for children from school. The current law does not give any entitlement to parents to take their child on holiday during term time. Any application for leave must be in exceptional circumstances and the Headteacher must be satisfied that the circumstances warrant the granting of the leave. Poor attendance or punctuality could result in a referral to the Local Authority’s Education Welfare Department.
